Classroom management

Becoming a successful teacher is more than a matter of mastering your subject. It also requires skills in presenting yourself, managing your time, creating ground rules for your classroom, instilling discipline in yourself and your students, and creating relationships in the school community and the larger community. As a teacher, you are a public person in your work and in your social interactions.

The information in this section will help you to smoothly and successfully negotiate the first days of school and create a solid foundation on which to build your career as a teacher. The rest is up to you.
